Heading to Ann Arbor

Hey everyone,

We are heading out to Ann Arbor to play a show at The Ark. Anyone who is out that way, come on by! James, Eli and I are performing as a trio. It will be a nice intimate feel. Sometimes it is nice to just travel lighter; however, I will say that it is a lot more work as a three piece! About twice the energy is needed. Still, we are going to have a lot of fun. There is never any doubt about that.

This is also the first time we have taken the bus out on the road since the end of last summer. It is so refreshing to actually sleep horizontally in our bunks rather than sitting up in the seat of the SUV. To tell you the truth, I have this recurring thing where if I sleep vertically, I end up sleeping with my eyes open. This causes me to actually be aware of my surroundings while in REM sleep. The problem is, I feel like I am awake, but I can’t move!!! Like paralyzed! Weird eh? It really freaked me out the first couple times, but now I’m more used to it. Haha, James and Eli didn’t believe me at first, but now they are a bit more understanding.

So we are currently cruising down the 401 highway. Dad is driving right now while Donny (our main driver) is navigating. James is building a house on The Sims 3 and Eli is taking a nap in his bunk. I’m here on the couch just wearing my swim shorts. It’s a little bit hot out for the generator right now, so we are keeping the air conditioning to a minimum so it won’t overheat. No problem, Donny has rigged the escape hatch overhead to open on the forward side, which ends up ramming the outside air throughout the front lounge of the bus. That should do just fine.

Anyway, thought I would let you all know what is happening right now. We’ll keep you posted as much as we can on the trip. Sometimes the lack of Internet becomes a problem for blogging and tweeting. Oh well, sometimes a little open road and no Internet is better for your health. Thanks for your continued support. We love having each and every one of you as fans. It means the world to us.

God Bless, and in the words of Red-Green, “Keep your stick on the ice.”

Over and out,

New song

Hey everyone,

James and I have been working on another new song at the studio. It’s kind of a Gordon Lightfoot/Led Zeppelin style that we are currently calling ‘Gordie Ledfoot.’ I’m currently riding the boat over to the Island to do my electric guitar part on it.’

I am in the middle of exams right now, but keep an eye out for updates on the new TV show that we will be working on for the spring. It will be streaming online.

All the best, and Happy Easter.

John

Northern Ontario Tour!!

Hey All! (By: Elijah)

We have a few days off between our northern Ontario tour and the shows that we’re going to do out west. I am now with a group of friends at, ‘miman’ Alyosha’s apartment in the Plateau area of Montreal. We’re watching the figure skating portion of the Olympics, and of course, somedramaticalyarranged neo-classical (avec rock guitar) is blaring over the loud speakers in whatever Vancouver arena. Watching these amazing athletesexecute bi-zillion-Salchows, toe loop jumps, and lutz jumps. Mind you, this is all in waiting for the next hockey game’ mind you.

The venues in the nord d’Ontario were ‘theatres’ for the most part. Huntsville (just north of Toronto), Blind River (a good ways north of that) and Geraldton (about 60mi south fromthe furthest north you’re able to drive in Ontario).
